IDE 2ndary Issues with EpoX 8KHA+

Anything I put on the seconday channel of my EpoX 8KHA+ doesnt operate properly.

The BIOS will see the HD/CD drives, but will show it up all wacked.

Such as:

WD40HD!!$#%$%!!!!!!!!

I have flashed the BIOS with no luck.
All devices work on the Primary IDE channel that are not working on the Secondary.

Has anyone seen this issue before?

As a work around I suppose I could use a PCI IDE card, but I would like to solve the real problem at hand.

Had been running a 8KHA+ mobo since they came out. Never seen that particular problem as u descibe it.

Good luck finding a fix.
