id3 tag editing software

is there a program out there that will look at your mp3s and check a database of possible id3 tags and then edit the file with that info? if there isn't anything that advanced, is there something that will just look at the mp3 file title and create the id3 tag based on that?

for instance, if I have an mp3 file named liek this:

band - album - track

i want it to edit the id3 tag with the correct info in the correct fields.

Mp3tag will rename files based on id3 tag info and vice versa.

I use The Godfather. It basically works by album though. You can manually search databases for individual mp3s, but the software works best for albums because that's how it identifies what the mp3s are.

it will? hm...i'll have to redownload it. i never saw that option before (unless i'm thinking of another program)

Yeah, just select a group of similar MP3s and go under the freedb menu.
