• We should now be fully online following an overnight outage. Apologies for any inconvenience, we do not expect there to be any further issues.

I'd worry it might fall over in a strong wind

OK yeah that does actually have a little more space inside than I would have thought but still... Nope

I like it for a city space. Dunno if that cost is inline with what you get, but it's an interesting building. I'd want to demodernize the inside though.

Yeah that looks like it could be super unstable lol. It's basically a giant sail. Even standard proportion buildings sway in the wind a bit but they have more thickness. I feel this could start to sway in such a way that it creates a wave along the entire lenght of the building and if it starts to hit the resonant frequency it would be bad news. Especially if you get a more localized wind gust that does not hit the entire side of the building equally. I don't know enough about wind physics to know if this can happen or not though. I like to think the engineers that design this stuff know what they're doing, but it's not like building disasters have never happened before. Ex: Florida condos.

Proves that even super narrow lots can be rendered usable and provide tax revenue to the state.

(in a cramped, old, and heavily developed city on a small island where space is at a premium)

I'm sure the folks in Florida thought the same!
London isn't underwater all over like swampy Florida.

@DAPUNISHER will come swooping in to defend his mother Florida and her teets he suckled from birth tho.

London has CERTAINLY had more than its fair share of public housing-related problems. (only luck they avoided at least one of similar scale too!)

Obligatory: ;)

I guess it depends from which direction the dominant winds are, if it's going parallel then it's not as bad. Crazy to think it's over 100 years old though, guessing it must be made mostly of stone and may very well be super overbuilt.

It's still a first world country compared to Cuba.

And Camila Cabello is fine by virtue of charisma.

Aerial view from above of #5 Thurloe Square "Thin House". So it's an optical illusion when seen from the street, house is actually triangle. ;)

That's insane, I don't understand why anyone would want to pay that kind of money to live like that. Though I guess it beats an apartment, there is somewhat a yard. But you're just surrounded by concrete lol.

Different people want different things.
