If you're really curious, you can contact your state's agricultural extension service which in your case is run out of Penn State by the county. Once you choose the county you can "ask an expert" in the contact us section. There is even a means to attach pics.

Here in Michigan they usually have a workshop at some green house/nursery going on every weekend where a representative from the extension service is there to answer questions.

Cool. It would appear that if it was located in the right spot it could be worth growing on purpose. Taking care that it doesn't get out of control
