Anyone know what this plant is?

http://pics.bbzzdd.com/users/pontifex/plant.jpg

One started to grow last year and I thought it was a weed type plant so I pulled it out. This year another is growing and I let it grow. Its pretty damn tall and has these big tree-like leaves on it.

I'm not even sure what to type into google to try to search for what it is.

Let it keep growing, and see what it turns into. I did that with an interesting looking plant out back, and I still don't know what it is, but it has a nice shape, and gets great smelling little flowers in the spring.

Nobodies seen it before because Aliens planted it there. One day it's going to crawl in through your window.

There's a lot of types of ragweeds, several dozen at least, you'd have to look at them all before being certain it wasn't one of them.

It's size and shape scream "weed" of some sort (it ain't no fig, figs are trees, and that ain't no tree). The grayish green leaves would make me think it's a ragweed. That doesn't mean it is, but it's got that look.

My guess is Giant Hogweed.
Nah, definitely not that. Giant Hogweed's leaves have a lot more pointiness to them.

Only one way to find out for sure though - OP, rub the leaves all over your body and go lay out in the sun to get a tan.
<if the OP never posts again, then Chaotic is right.>

I wonder if DrPizza will get charged with manslaughter if the OP dies from allergy.

I don't think it causes allergy but a chemical reaction directly on the skin.

having a close up picture of the flowers would help a lot in any plant ID
a close up of the leaf might help to see if it's hairy or not

the leaves have an odd veination pattern ("pedate" as per wiki) though I don't think this term is used that often, so it might not help

some helpful search terms
leaves are lobed, and they grow alternate on the stem.
the plant looks like it's technically an herb, since it doesn't have a woody stem.

haven't been able to find it though

Looks like a White Oak tree

I don't think it's a tree because it's a fleshy stalk instead of bark, unless they grow bark much later? Also, seems to have some kind of flowery things growing out near the top.

I'll try to get some more pics - closeups of the leaves, etc.
