wow..a lot of super classic FPS games in this pack. I think I have a few of these, but I'll admit the appeal of just d/l them from steam and running them through steam versus trying to get them to install off my old scratched up CDs is very tempting to me.

Games included:

God, those games bring back some memories. I don't know if I'd ever play half of them though.

Just bought it. Was looking to see if Civ 4 was on Steam (it is), and saw this deal, so I got both. Now, I have more games that I can count on Steam.

Their other packs are 50% off to. Since I've never played Doom 3, I'm going to get the Doom package. I still have my Quake II and III stuff around here somewhere..and don't feel like playing RTCW again or Heretic.

$19.99 you get every Doom game made.

Doom 3 is supremely boring.

I liked it. I liked it better than HL2, and HL2 was one of my favorite games at the time. It was a lot like Doom 2, which was the first computer game I ever bought, so I guess it was about what I expected.

I agree. I had a great time with Doom3. It was everything I expected, and even a little more.

Wow, RTCW...god I loved that game! Thanks OP, I'm gonna have to get this. 🙂

honestly, who wants to play quake ii in age of crysis?

1. Not everyone can play Crysis on their computer. A package like this allows anyone with any computer built within the last 5 years to play...at or near maximum settings. 😛

2. Gameplay. Though Crysis was a decent game, the handling is very slow for my tastes. Nothing beats a good LAN match of Quake 3 against a bunch of friends. Gameplay > Graphics and/or realism.

3. 10+ games for $35 or 1 game for $35-$40...your choice. 😉

This is a great deal!

By getting them through Steam you dont have to worry about searching for patches or problems with getting them to install or work right in XP and Vista.

So you paid for these games once, you have a legit license, and now you want to pay for another copy?

You can look at it that way, or you can say you're buying the other games, and you're getting the ones you already have for free.

While new games have their great graphics and OMG WOW physics, the old games retain their sentimental value and have made for fun times among many of us. IMO Crysis was just a money making machine whose sole purpose was the wow factor. It is lackluster at best in terms of gameplay.

Ah wait the heck, in for one as well.

Really makes me nostalgic for the good ol' days of computer gaming, back when PC gaming was different.

Every since stuff like BF and CS it has never been the same.

I've never played any of these games. Only Heretic in dos mode.

I'm in for one, just because i lost out on it the first time, and my laptop would have to problem running these whatsoever.

I've got most of these games but I jumped at this. I passed on this package deal the last time they offered it and I've been regretting it since. I think the price was higher the last time I saw these offered for sale, but I'm not certain.

It's just nice to be able to play the games without having to insert a disk or try to make the older games compatible. It's also hard to find the ones I didn't already have.
