I'd really appreciate any help!!!

My problem isn't so bad that it stops my from being productive, but it is disruptive enough to frustrate the hell out of me.
My first problem has to do with when I right-click anything on the desktop. Each time I do so, the A: drive scans for a disk. It take a second longer than usual to access what I want. Does anyone know how to keep it from doing so?

My second problem is when I'm in My Computer, and I click to open the hard drive, or disk drives. Each time I get a window popping up that lets me know that there isn't a disk in the D: drive.

I get a combo on both faults when I open the explorer with the windows-E key combo.

I wouldn't complain about it if I were getting similar results in my other OS's. However, on a seperate hard drive with Win2k (I've got two HD slide trays), I never experience the same problems. Does anyone have an idea to what the problem is? Someone suggested installing TweakUI, but removing them from my explorer isn't the answer that I'm looking for.

Sorry to say mate but it sounds to me like a side effect of the W32.Sircam.Worm@mm virus... I could be wrong but it is worth checking out. The W32.Sircam.Worm@mm virus doesn't effect WIN2K at all... only WIN9X. So have a look at your sytem to see if this little virus has infected your machine.

Here is some info on what this virus does and how to get rid of it.

Nasty little ah heck
