does anybody know the maker of the keyboard shown in the pics here ?

i'm not sure if it's a real northgate or an avant remake or what.

actually, it didn't come with a cable, so all i really want to know is this: can i use a ps2 male / ps2 male cable to connect this to my ps2 port? i don't want to unknowingly connect "+5V" to "Connect+5VToThisLineToFryYourKeyboard"

Man, that brings back old User Group memories!--when Northgate had similar stature to Dell or Gateway. A PS/2 male to PS/2 male cable will work. Original Omnikey 101s didn't have a good rep for longevity--good for a year or so, but they have a great feel (old IBM mechanical-clicky key style) while they last. I think they were made by Chicony for Northgate and Chicony still makes a nice clicky (Alps key switch) kbd if they haven't gone OOB while I wasn't looking.

thanks, i'm heading out to find a ps2 gender bender or male-male cable... too bad about the longevity issues, but i do have 3-4 of these keyboards, so i should be covered for the near future <G>
