I have the honor (?) of programming a Matchmaker for my high school in time for Valentine's day. The code is going very well -- it can already match up people successfully based on their interests and stuff.
What I want from you all is to tell me what kind of things I should ask the students. (Note that ALL students will participate, and this program will only match up males to females. I originally wanted to give students a sexual preference choice, but my CS teacher rejected it.)
Also note that all questions must be multiple choice, so that students could just circle one option (just one answer per question!) and I could just punch in a number instead of typing stuff. Also, this makes comparisons a breeze.
So far, I have the following three fields by which the program matches students:
- interests
- favorite sport, if any
- favorite music genre
- desired age range of match
Can anyone think of any other things that would be useful for a matchmaker program FOR HIGH SCHOOL?
Remember that there is no open questions -- multiple choice only, with no restriction on the number of multiple choices. (must be something reasonable, though... around about 5-30.)
The more questions there are, the more accurate and versatile the program will be.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I may someday post a link to the Matchmaker executable after it has been perfected.
