What are you talking about? I've asked girls out. I've met thousands of them (THOUSANDS AND TALKED TO THEM ALL) and been rejected by hundreds.

I've tried a ton of shit to "improve" my odds/chances/life/whatever. I'm just fucked over.

Lift weights, regularly and hard. Be consistent, get on a good plan, and eat a shit ton. It'll get you bigger, stronger, and more confident as well as more attention from ladies. Plus it gives you something to do, a release of stress, and many more benefits.

yea, since i started lifting when i was 19 in college, i've gained over 60lbs. most of it muscle but not all.

i used to be really scrawny and was pretty shy, but i was pretty much always good looking.

but bulking up and lifting definitely boosted my confidence.

and the problem is that chicks dig confidence probably more than a man's actual looks. and from the tone of TridenT on these forums, no matter what, even if he looked as good as Brad Pitt (or whoever he thinks is the best looking dude in the world), he would still not get girls because he has less than 0 confidence, and it shows with every post.

Agreed. You can never tell what someone else's state is over the internet, and even when these comments may be intended to be harmless, they may have much more of an impact than anyone knows.

Mature adults recognize that people go through periods of depression and crap in life and that we have the ability to impact these people, positively or negatively, through what we do, even over the internet. Grow up and take that responsibility. The internet is rarely serious business but occasionally it is. ATOT has help prevent a suicidal member from killing himself before, so some of us have a good reason to take this stuff seriously.

There are genuine cases of depression and genuine situations to actually reach such a low point, sadly enough. But if you're on this forum, I'd wager you aren't there. The simple fact you have a computer, electricity, probably a roof over your head, probably live in a well-to-do civilized country, and presumably have your own safe food and water puts you leaps and bounds ahead of so much of the world.

It's not pitiable to be so self-absorbed to think your problems are really great enough to justify such an action, it's reprehensible. Life is vast and beautiful, how could you possibly miss that?

Suicide, in the vast majority of cases, is a selfish act of weakness.
