Gah for the life of me I can't remember the name of that radio show. I used to catch it now and again when I lived in Scotland. They ring up people all the time pretending to be stupid, even normal residents.

I used to work as an ISP customer service rep and one dude called and asked for his internet line to be hooked up. He said they had already purchased an internet line from the phone company and demanded that we turn it on (This was Ameritech.net the telco's ISP) and he got mad when I told him he need an internet / isp account and didn't believe me.
