Hey man, i have a question. You live in the US, right? Tell me, do companies avoid hiring you if there is a gap of an year or two between your school and college?
Hope you don't mind me asking this, what do you do in the US? Did you immigrate from here or your an American-Indian?
Last year Facebook offered 1.34 cr rupees package to a CS graduate from NIT, its a very good college, almost equivalent to the IITs. Thats why i really wanna study over there.

That guy isn't an MBA. He did a B Tech in Computer Science, and cleared 9 rounds of phone interviews, and so facebook gave him a pay package of 262K USD p.a.
Big tech companies only accept mostly phd grads. The occasionally hire lower end people because they've done something outstanding like writing code for a company and stuff.
