I'd just like to take a moment to say thank you to those who serve in the military...

I really mean that. I live in Oceanside, CA, a place that is home to thousands and thousands of Marines. Their wives cut my hair, serve food in my local restaurants, their children go to school with my son and they are friends and family to every one of us.

It kind of hit home with me the other day when a couple Marines (recently out of active duty I assume) were installing my HDTV and they popped onto CNN to check on the latest news from Iraq. Anyway, it kind of hit home with me...these guys had actually been there in harms way. Even though I'm not from here and I've never served I am very proud to associate with these people. They are definitely of the finest sort.

Semper Fi.

No doubt. People always want to hate the soldiers for what the politicians do. Military people rock.

Someone expressing their respect for military personnel annoys you?

EDIT: And I agree with the OP. Thanks to all those who serve in the military.

I am being serious here and speaking from the heart. This is not a political statement in any way shape or form. If you know me you know that I'm fairly centerist in my political views and I am not a Bush supporter. You can roll your eyes if you want but I know these people and interact with them and their families on a daily basis. I am completely sincere.

*tips hat*

Soldiers are the best. Putting their lives on the line everday...I graduated from HS with two guys who joined the military...One in the Reserver (Army) and another who's gone to military school (Army)...

iamaelephant...I'm at a loss for words right now...

You'll have to excuse him, his bell's palsy has contorted his face into the emotion you see now.

Two thumbs up for the US and coalition soldiers putting your lives on the line for our freedom and peace. I support you, your mission, and your families back home. :sun:

He hates anything American, judging by dozens and dozens of his posts.

I support the troops, you don't have to support the reason they are there, but remind yourself that is their job...

Just like you going to the office everyday.
