"I'd do anything for my country"

I heard this from a friend of mine, yesterday. It sucks, but I want to share anyway.

A lot of people are in France. They're all on the Eiffeltower. They are an American, a Canadian, a Spaniard, a French bitch, a guy from England, someone from Germany and someone from Holland. The American says:"I'd do anything for my country!", and he jumps off of the Eiffeltower. Everyone that's left looks down and sees a bloody pulp, formerly known as the American. Now, the Canadian says:"I'd do anything for my country, too.", and follows the American's example. The Spaniard, the French bitch and the man from England all follow this example, and jump to their deaths. Then the guy from Holland says:"I'd do anything for my country!", and then he pushes the German fellow off of the tower. Now, the question is: Why did he do this?

His watch was behind.

I know it sucks, but hell.. I laughed when I heard it! (It's got something to do with WWII, I believe)

EDIT: Okay, the ending sucked. How about "He was lagging ?

Hmm, the version I heard involved 5 men in a plane. Usually 3 ethnic men, a white and a minority. The first 2 ethnic men do something for their country by jumping out the plane, then the white guy says he is going to do something for his country and pushes the minority out of the plane.
