Icute Cases, you think these would be good?

These are really cheap where I live (NZ). Probably less than $40 US dollars and they come with a 320W PSu and enough spaces to mount a heap of fans.

I was going to buy a small Lan case, but seeing these are so cheap I'm tempted just to buy one of these and learn to like lugging 'em

How do you think these would be as a 'dirt cheap' case for a spare PC?

I've got one! A few weeks ago I was at a small computer fair and I needed a case to tie me over until I could afford my Lian Li. Believe it or not these were the best cases at the show (you can image what the worst was like!).

Anyway, they are very cheap and ugly but it did come with a 300 watt PSU. Be careful, when I built the machine and turned it on the hard drive did not power up, after about an hour of troubleshooting, I took the drive out of the bay and noticed a small thin strip of metal was shorting the drive - so the build quality is not great.

Since then, I've drilled loads of holes in it and generally used it as a test bed for case mods.

I replaced it afew days ago with the Lian Li PC60, and the iCute is now sitting in the corner - getting a cheap mobo and Duron to go in it in a few weeks.

At the end of the day you get what you pay for, but the PSU is still going strong in the Lian Li.

Thanks for the heads-up. My main case is nice, this is for a bit of fun- poor quality build is a worry though

They are cheap where you live... does that mean you can just walk into a store and get one? If so, go there and bang it around a while

They look decent for a $40 case w/300W PS.

I can only order them online Tempting though, if only as a modding project, i'm still looking for that perfect (cheap) Lan case though
