Okay here the story,

-Laptop W98 FE (mine)
-Main Rig W98 SE (bro)
-1 phone line (56K)

Both has modem and NIC installed.

My bro is always online and refuses to let me surf the web he mainly reads forums and just pain surf and so do I.

GOAL: while he online, i would like to used the unused modem speed. Sharing the Internet/Phone line

So this is what I did
1. Enabled NIC (since it slow down boot time looking for an IP, I disable it in hardware profile )
2. Installed ICS on Main Rig
3. Installed ICS Client software on Laptop
4. Tested Laptop ICS and it worked,
5. Tested Main rig ICS (main connection to the net) --didn't work
6. Though it was something with ICS software so I uninstalled it and reinstalled. --no go
7. Remove and reinstalled Network Neithborhood and NIC, Dialup Networking, protocols -no go
8. It looks like it IE/Netscape didn't see the port open for the internet
9. Tried the Dial-up Network Troublershooter recommondation -- no go

Help. I tried everything I could think of. What am I missing

Note: Dialup connect to my ISP, when I start IE/Netscape it doesn;t go the webpage. Pinging does nothing do anything as well (Unable to resolve www.yahoo.com).. I already Checked DNS setting.
