lol reminds me of an ad I keep seeing in IM+ on my iPhone. "Increase your screen size by (x2) (x3) (x4)"

Who falls for that crap...?
Hehe, yeah, im sure there is someone out there. Probably the same person bailing out the nigerian prince.

The D4 leak of ICS is pretty amazing. First time I've had the pleasure of using ICS w/out bugs of some kind 😀

I would be surprised if you couldn't find the official OTA somewhere by now, since I'm almost positive I read on xda they've started the soak test...

Sweet! :awe:

But seriously, my razr is sluggish. Hopefully ICS on it will boost it a bit.

it killed the battery life on a coworkers razr

but it could be pebcak

I told him to double check all his email sync settings, twitter ETC

This leads me to another question I was going to ask. How can I mass update a bunch of devices without activating them?

I'm getting about 200 RAZR's/MAXX's and I want to deploy them with ICS but I can't activate them first because that would shut the line they currently have off and I also don't want them to wait around in my office while I hope that the upgrade shows up and then have them sit here while it takes time to install.

Any ideas?

Still can't get it on mine. Yay Verizon?

Hopefully it will fix my battery problems. One day some app got FUBAR'd, and now will eat a full battery in about 12 hours. Can't figure out what it is, but the only way I can use my phone off the charger is with background data off

Why not just wipe it?

Got mine this morning finally. Downloading now.

Still have no idea how I'm going to mass deploy this to 165 handsets.

If you're rooted, use the free OTA Rootkeeper app from the Play Store to keep and restore your root after the update.

Meh, the notification bar is still useless in ics. I was overall more impressed with ICS on my tmo sgs2. I do wonder why tmo only sent the 4.0.3 and razr got 4.0.4. What the dif between the 2?

Mines been stuck at "android is updating... starting applications" for about 45 minutes now. Did it take this long for anyone else?

Dont know. I hit the shower after I initiated the download. When I came out it was on ICS.

Let it go for another hour before I reset it, wokring fine now with ICS

May I ask whether your "hamster wheel" was moving during the time that it said Android is upgrading -- Starting applications? I have a Verizon Droid Razr Maxx. It's rooted, but it has the stock ROM. I went into Settings, About, Check for Updates and it said an update to ICS was available. I downloaded it and the install ran fine to here. Just before this it said that it was upgrading/updating/improving (something like that) 140 applications. It took about 15-20 minutes to update my apps. After that, I got this screen. The only thing that makes me wonder whether I'm locked up is that the hamster wheel is not turning.

Did it take you 45 + 60 Minutes = 1:45 to complete this part? Or am I misunderstanding your comments?

UPDATE: After waiting 30-45 min (no timer running; not sure) it completed the update. I'd been uptight because the progress hamster wheel wasn't moving, but I'm on ICS now. Even better, root was retained!

Finally showed up for my GF's phone this morning, but she wouldn't let me update it before she went to work.

I am so glad I went with the Nexus instead of the Razor. Installed Jelly Bean last night and it pretty awesome. I'm way to impatient regarding software updates for any other phone.
