ICS Problem in WinMe

I'm using the windows ICS, I can access the internet from the server, access the client from the server, and access the server from the client, but I cannot access the internet from the client. However, if I set a gateway for the second NIC in the server (I am using a cable modem), it breaks the internet access for the desktop. I had this set up and working in Win2K, I installed Me for compatibility's sake (read: because I had too much extra room to play with). I have no clue whats wrong, I havent changed anything on the client end which worked with 2K... Any ideas? TIA.

Ok lets first make sure the server connects to the net.
Ok now make sure you have ICS enabled
Now lets go ahead and set the client up manually

Set the client up to use
IP 192.168.0.2
Subnet 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.0.1
DNSserver 192.168.0.1

Try this and see what it does.
