A couple weeks ago an infineon stick of ram gave up the ghost on my Win 98 box. That stick allowed me to run that P3 700e at 933.
So I bought a Crucial 256 meg stick to replace it, the machine is running fine at stock 700mhz speed.
Now it can connect to the other machines in the network and if I ping internet IP addresses it does get through.
However it will not bring up any websites in IE either with domain names or with IP addresses.
Anybody got a clue? My next move will be to remove & replace the network card and that's no fun at all. Is there some trick I can do to get the ICS working again with XP so this '98 box cat 'get net' again?
