I'm using Windows ICS to share cable between two computers. It has worked in the past but currently I cannot get the setup correct. In network properties it lists my home network card but will not label the other card as shared. Both cards are installed and working as I get internet on my primary computer and the two machines are networked successfully. Anyone know why I can't get that card to share in network settings?

Thanks

could you give some more detail about your setup?

Hmmm, not sure what you need to know. I have two nics, both Linksys, one network anywhere and one lne 100tx. I'm trying to use ICS in windows. It has worked in the past but now I can't get it to list correctly in the network setup. It is a AMD 450 on an Asus board. Nothing special about the setup and I don't get any errors on any hardware or software any place else on the system. I've already tried de and re installing cards and ICS but I get the same result. What other info would help?

I had a similar problem st work no matter how many times i nstalled ICS they would not setup the same way I had it at home.
I eventually gave up and installed analogx proxy server(free ware) I searched all over google for help. and found lots of sites. sorry I didn't bookmark them. It just pisses me off how MS has all their hidden setting, like we can't be trusted to setup our own computer the way we want it.
any way analogx works perfectly for me at work and we ahve 20 computers sharing it.

So one of your computers has two network cards and is able to access the internet, but the other computer with just one network card is not able to? Well, when you say "networked successfully" do you mean that the two computers are able to ping eachother? If not, then that is where the problem lies. I've honestlly never used or installed ICS so I'm just thinking of an obvious possible problem. Perhaps you can list your current network settings, like the IP addresses, subnet mask, and gateway of your computers.
