[I realise this isnt hardware related, but I thought someone here might know]

I find that ICQ is taking longer and longer to load, it's also taking up more than it's fair share of RAM. Can anyone tell me if there's a quick and easy way to clear the message history on ALL contacts at the same time?

Failing that I just want to backup my contact list without the attached history. I've looked into the DBConvert, but that doesnt allow me to clear anything out. The only option I seem to have at the moment is to delete over 40MB of text messages from the last couple of years.

Any help/suggestions will be appreciated.

DBConverter does work...

Start DBConverter, and it will let you choose the account you wanna repair... choose your own account, and select "No history, contact list only"... After it finishes repairing your database, all history will be gone and your DB files will be nice and small...

hehe... no problem...

I used to do it the stupid way (ie. going into message achieve and deleting them by hand)... then I installed 2000a which does not have message achieve, so had to find another way to do it... Accidently found this way when I was doing ICQ DB backups... :)
