ICQ won't close

Argh I am gettin mad at ICQ. My ICQ will not close. Meaning, if I want to close ICQ (either through the X in the corner or the "Disconnect" button) it will only lock up ICQ. I don't know what's the problem. It has been happening for several months.

Anyone know what to do?

Running ICQ 2000a (same thing happens in older vers of icq)

I don't really have a clue, but I'll take a shot in the dark. Sounds like trying to close the port is freezing it. What OS? Win 98? If so use SFC (at the run command) and extract winsock.dll and wsock32.dll. You can also try deleting tcp/ip in the network control panel and adding it back in, that could wreck some havoc if it corrupted I imagine. Those 3 are pretty common dying points in my ISP support job so I blame a lot on them 😎. Good luck.
