ICQ problems

This has been happening to me all day, and I'm just wondering if there is
a way to stop it...

Every time I log on with an ICQ client (be it 99b, LICQ) the same 3 messages
pop up from the server, even though I received and acknowledged them
16 hours ago. :|

Why does everyone have to use ICQ? 🙁

Thats been happening to me too with ICQ98a. I use @home cable internet. Whose your ISP?

I'm beginning to think I'm going to have to break down and install ICQ2000b....and deal with killing the banners later

I'm on @Home as well... I've read the other threads, someone mentioned something
about a "corrupted database", which I know is BS because it happens with my LICQ
client as well as my 99b client. Maybe AOL is having some server problems?
Nah, can't be... (right)

Sleater is right, 2000 is pure bloatware... 99b uses about 8-9MB of memory while
for some inexplicable reason, 2000 uses double that amount...

>bloat

is right, if ICQ were a person they'd weight 900bls.

MSN is 800kb and no spam at all, lean and mean and works nice behind a firewall.

how about using 'Trillian'?

Trillian

Trillian is an IM program that joins together MSN, ICQ, AIM, Yahoo! and IRC clients into one program.
You can log into different types of IM independently and you have a single buddly list.

Give it a try! Its nice not to have 2 or 3 IM programs running 🙂
