icq on ics

I'm trying to receive files on icq. I have win2k. The computer running ICS is win98se. I read several posts here on going into icq/preferences/connection and specifying ports 20000-20019. I did that but still can't receive. What about IP? There's radio buttons for internal, external, and icq IP. What should that be set on?

To receive you've got to map ports so that the software or hardware router knows where to send the file request.

OK this is how to setup ICQ to receive file if you are a client PC on a network (ie. not directly connected to the internet):

go to Preference->Connection->Server:

in Proxy Settings, choose "Using Firewall" and then "Not using proxy"

then under the User tab, choose "Use server proxy setting"

This is for ICQ2000a, other versions of ICQ should be similar...

yeah, I did those steps.
However, I did figure it out. I ran a program on the win98se machine that maps ports. Apparently, when I had my computer running ics, my win2k automatically maps ports as needed. Thanx for your help guys.
