icq is so f'in slow

ICQ used to be very fast and reliable about 2 years ago, it's growth to capacity ratio was surpassed a long time ago. After it began taking 3 days for instant message to reach the recipient, I decided to jump ship and go to more Instant Instant-Messangers.. as such this is very old news..and unfortunately the state of things to be..perhaps if enough people jump ship it'll speed up or something..Regards
 
I'm using 2000b v4.65 and it is NOT slow, messages are in fact instant.

Are using an improperly configured firewall perhaps?
