Firstly before posing my question I’d like everyone to know that I have a learning & understanding disability and request that any suggestions be non-technical and in plain English.
I use Win 8.1 and have quite a lot of shortcuts on my desktop and after rearranging them on a frequent basis , these icons keep playing silly buggers and rearrange themselves-I have the options of 'Auto-arrange icons' and 'Align icons to grid' disabled. I additionally installed 'desklock' then 'IconShepherd' to no avail.
Can someone please suggest a non-technical icon locker-without the need to continuously reconfigure the settings; all I simply want is something that will keep icons in place permanently until I manually delete them (similar to pinning something to a real noticeboard-it stays put until you remove it). All I want is a hassle-free, no-nonsense, set-and-forget application that can achieve this.
