Icon on the taskbar does not disappear

I am using win 2k sp2 on a laptop.

I have made the mistake to activate the option "Always show the icon on the task bar" under the Advanced tab in Power Options.

I am now trying to get rid of it but I can't. When activated, the icon changes showing the status (battery or AC). When deactivated, it disappears when on AC but not when on battery. Is there any way to make it disappear?

Thank you,

valentin

I think that if you right click on the icon, you can change the properties of it. Just uncheck the "Always show the icon in the taskbar". Hope this helps.
