Icon: Metallica

Metallica is supposed to preform, which means with the new bassist. I'm anxious to hear it, so yes, I will be watching

Edit: MTVIcon, artists preform covers of metallica songs and talk about the bands influence. Averil Lavine is supposed to be doing "Fuel" which will most certainly be good for a laugh
 
yeah of course... who doesnt want to watch Korn, Limp, and Avril Lavigne covering their songs????

the local radio station sent a guy to this taping...he said that Avril did suprisingly well, and better than most others there. He doesn't like her either, but thought she was the best.


Korn did a cover of "One". I REALLY want to see that.

Ya I can't wait to see "head" or "munkey" try to pull off some of those solos in that song. IT will be a little different than their normal power chords on a 7-string guitar routine. My bet is on the fact that they won't do it, I think they'll make up some sort of special korn-style solo or something instead.

just because the band plays a certain style doesn't mean that the guitarists lack the ability to play a solo...

anyway, i WOULD be watching it but my cable is gay and MTV doesn't come in 🙁

I don't want to get into a korn bashing debate as I used to listen to Korn quite a bit 4-6 years ago, point is they may or may not do it, I'll probably have to eat my words but I doubt they will play most of the solo.

I'm also stoked to see the new bassist perform, he looks like a bad-a$$ mofo. Also can't wait to see them in SanFran August 10.
 
Sum41 did ok. Bass player sounded good on For Whom The Bell Tolls, guitar player sounded good on MoP.

A lot of these people really look out of place in the crowd.

I haven't listened to some old metallica in a long time, it feels good 🙂
 
That MoP solo kicked @$$.

Then I ran off to catch 24... but I'm capturing MTV Icon to divx as we speak...
