I have been getting:

21 05/14/2002 08:52:46.832 ICMP received on WAN 138 bytes

From 154.14.68.30 (00:00:0c:00:6d:c4)

To My IP (00:40:10:9d:8e:bf)

Every two minutes. My SonicWall is dropping all packets but how can I make this stop?

I did a tracert to 154.14.68.30 and the last hope went to tier1.london2.uk.psi.net

Anyone know of anything I can do to make these go away?

Thanks
TMP

Sounds like somebody is just pinging you. Shouldn't be a problem though. At least your firewall is set to drop them.

This is pretty normal. There are a lot of people who scan/scour the web looking for targets. On my router, i just turn on "block wan requests". so pings are discarded as well. Not much you can really do about it.

They are basically just annoying because they are filling up my logs too quickly. They have been going on for three days now. When I trace the ip (154.14.68.30) using dslreports they show it going to PSInet. Well at least I know my SonicWall is working.

Thanks,
