"icmp.dll file cannot start...."

Here's the story.
I've got an old Win98SE Box on a network.
It refuses to recognize the internet and when I try to ping any address from within a DOS box, the box immediately closes down and an error message pops up saying "The ICMP.DLL file cannot start. Check the file to determine the problem"
I replaced the file thinking it was bad, but I'm still getting the same error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. 🙂

I'm thinking this is the 16 yr old gaming forum dude!
Better post somewhere where there's less ignorance of the operating system they're using to play their games on! 😀

Ummm Yepper!
I just found out from the Microsoft knowledge base that it's a corrupt Wsock32.dll. 😀
