Seems like every time Apple does something, people complain that they're doing something similar to what others have done before them. And usually people assume (incorrectly) that Apple claims to invent a lot of things (Apple never claimed to invent the MP3 player, Podcasts, tablets, clouds or precipitation).
If Winamp whatever works for you, awesome! It doesn't sound like it really does something similar to what iCloud does though. If you don't have any Apple devices, it's unlikely that you would be at all interested in iCloud. They didn't design it for Apple haters. They designed it for their users; it is another way that Apple tightly integrates all of their products, which is one of their strengths. People call it the Apple "ecosystem" - you buy one Apple product, and then you buy more because they all work so well together.
