Recently deployed iCloud within our small business (7 ipads). Employees write their work logs in a template I created in pages, its been working pretty well and cuts down to almost 0 paper!
We use icloud for the calendar, messages and pages. All work wonderfully
except I possibly have a huge flaw in the system. I knew this going into with this deployment and I don't see it being an issue but it can certainly be a problem.
What happens if an employee decides to delete everything in pages? None of my employees would ever do that but I'm always thinking worst case scenerio. Our book keeper downloads the weekly reports and that will suffice as a good backup but I really want to know if icloud keeps a backup of its own?
Say I delete a document in pages, is that document gone forever? Does iCloud have a "time machine" back up like the macs?
Tried to find this answer on the internet but since iCloud is so new i couldn't find the exact answer.
And yes I know, iCloud isn't designed for business use but it was very cheap. 7 Ipads first gen with 3g was about 2100. Tack on the att 15 dollar 250mb plan and a Locked down ipad with basically no internet access (safari disabled, Bsecure enabled). We're looking at 95 a month.
Couldn't go with android or chrome books as they were much more expensive and google business apps charge per employee, plus the data plan. Plus the ipads have a very good restriction system.
