ICH8 vs ICH8R?

I'm building a new PC and I'd like to save a little money by going with the Gigabyte GA965P-DS3. But the southbridge is the ICH8. Will I see a loss in performance b/c of the lack of AHCI & NCQ support in the ICH8?
