Icewind Dale2 any good?

Playing Neverwinter Nights right now. I was thinking of getting Icewind Dale2 next. Is it as good as it looks?
 
I'll be getting it sooner or later since I liked IWD/HOW. The basic look of the game will be very similar to the first with an overhaul to the user interface and switch to mostly 3rd ed D&D rules. They say it is hard but really good in comments I've read so far. If you liked IWD, you'll probably be happy with IWD2. I'll see if I can find some reviews for you. BTW, I'm playing NWN, and while I think it is quite good, I do like the way BG2 played a little better with it's 2D engine and all... joinable NPCs and story.

Should be getting my copy of IWD2 soon,(UK release date is behind US) anyway I read it`s hard on gameplay but so far it has had positive feedback,getting a good 6 character party will be important.

I am really enjoying IWD2. I love being able to create 6 party members ESPECIALLY with all the new races and classes. 😀
It is hard though... I'm at one point fairly early in the game which I can't get by. Damn Orcs. 🙁
 
I kind of learned 2nd Ed and 3rd Ed rules at the same time since 3E was coming out when I was learning how to play BG2. Overall, I know 3E much better since I play table top pnp also - which isn't saying much since I'm no expert.

Thanks for those other review... I've seen 3 or 4 reviews now - I'll have to check yours to see if they are repeats. Generally, everything has been positive with few negative comments really. Looks like a very good game and IWD fans will consider it a must buy.

BTW folks, if you haven't bought it yet, I received word that it is on sale at Kmart for $39.95... thats $10 off MSRP and I doubt you see it much cheaper for quite a while.
