Based on my limited experience with Icees, they're runnier so they're easier to drink, but they also melt faster. I think I prefer Icees.

Same here, Icees have always seemed to have less syrup and more carbonation. Probably similar to the way fountain sodas taste different at different restaurants I guess.

Despite what fritzo said
Icees have a wierder after taste than slurpees
And icees are more frothy IMO
And they taste more carbonated

Icees have a propriatary cherry and "blue" flavor that Slurpees don't use. Slurpees get their flavoring from Coke and Fanta. Otherwise, their cola flavors are the same as they both use Coke.

Of the two, I choose Icee.

But neither come close to snoballs. Plum St. Snoball FTW!

I have always preferred Slurpee over Icee, but that is not to say Icee is bad. I just prefer the flavor and flavor combinations that Slurpee has to offer and I favor the texture of Slurpee more. Except when the blasted machine isn't working and they turn out all runny - that's not good eats.

It seems kinda strange to pay so much for ice mixed with artificial flavour and color. Then again, I guess it's like that with a lot of things. Coffee = water drained through dirt. Don't even get me started with shaved ice because that one is just ridiculous, and tends to cost a lot.

If you came to Taiwan, you would change your mind about shaved ice. ;)

that's the thing; i'd choose slurpee cuz i can make my own crazy drink (pina colada + dr pepper or whatever)

but when it comes down to the core texture, i'd prefer icee because it just feels better sippin' on it

i <3 shaved ice

As somebody else said - its the same thing. Go to a 7-Eleven and look at a slurpee machines back - it will say icee on it.
