My friend just killed off his fish and is selling off his aquarium equipment. He has this thing called the ice probe which I found here:

I was wondering if anyone knew if this would be good for a watercooling system? Would it keep water temps of about 1 gallon of water cool enough to forego the radiator? I may be a retard so let me know if this idea is just not gonna work!

nope all it is a 50watt peltier. now you could rig it so this would be in your resevour and add it to your loop. you would still need o get a rad but if you set it up right you might be able to get a degree or two below ambient going over the cpu.

loop would be like this: Rad --> Resvour with chiller thing --> CPU --> Rad

but unless your getting it for free or really cheap (under $25) don't bother because for the 100 dollars this thing costs you could easily built a unit that does the same thing but is much more powerful
