1) exporting your problem by illegally deporting US citizens won't fix the problem
2) your solution is anti-Liberal and anti-democratic - you can't just split when things don't go your way

You don't have to roll over for lawbreakers or let them get off easy when you retake power, but you also can't just blindly and collectively punish people.

Like I said earlier: maybe you should read some books about the US Civil War, particularly why Union soldiers' motivations for signing up in the first place. A lot of it was actually around a collective affinity for The Republic and it's ideals (like, you can't just split from the country when things don't go your way).

Why did we come up with Protestant Churches if Catholic Churches were so good and we shouldn't just split up when things don't go our way?

Heck why do people go through a divorce if we should just stay together for the good?

Modern problems need modern day solutions and the least problematic one is allowing everyone to get on with their life and not kill each other trying to establish dominance.

Religion != democracy
Personal relationships != Democratic governance for society

Stop using bad models as analogies for Democratic governance.

Think you need to stop wishing everyone had a 200 IQ and could live happily in a perfect world/ country and accept the reality at hand.

I don't like it but people are stupid enough to fall for stupid shit and go ultra MAGA and they have no willingness to change.

You can't solve it.. you can only protect yourself. I mean honestly do you want to live in your home or with a bunch of MAGA always hounding you?

When you don't have personal space.. that's how people become violent.

Personal space is important.

There has never been a time in history without ridiculously stupid people. Hence why I suggest cracking open a history book.

I don't want to repeat history. I want to try something new.

Just send them to Russia and they can have the country and the authoritarian leader they crave and no brown/ black people.

BTW can you imagine AOC/ Bernie as a dictator??

Even the loonish amongst us couldn't imagine those two being 0.000000000000000000000000000000001% dictatorish.

But apparently that's what the country wants.. full maga trump dictatorship so they're gonna get it.

Your "trying something new" is a story as old as time: "deport the undesirables and everything will be fixed".
But apparently that's what the country wants.. full maga trump dictatorship so they're gonna get it.
No, the country arguably does not want that. 1) Trump won with a plurality, not a majority, and 2) opinion polling has shown that he and Republicans are underwater on every issue. Why are you giving them more power by assuming that this is what the country wants?

Mr. Paul said the agents had told him that they disagreed with the directive to arrest Ms. Paul but that they had to follow orders.

I know some other people who were "just following orders". They were rightfully punished at Nuremberg.

Would one of the resident conservatives like to tell us why this (specifically, arresting people who are in the final stages of a spousal green card process because of bs technicalities) is good or not a big deal? Or is this just another thing to sweep under the rug with a "I didn't hear about this" or "that's probably bad if it's true; let me never look into it further or change my views"?

Saw a FB reel that I've paraphrased that goes like "You can't fix stupid people but you can make them regret it."

Sending em to Russia does exactly that while protecting us and still giving them a chance at life in their supposed utopian country where there are:

- no libs
- no chance of losing elections
- no darkies/ no brownies
- no lgbt
- no other religious threats
- no woke propaganda

You'd think they'd be happy there!
