Let's get a list of good, free POP mail alternatives going (cheaper ones also)

(Dear Mr. or Mrs. Threadcrapper: Yes, this is a hot deal, if you use Yahoo POP mail. It means you've gotta find some alternative quick, and change every account or anything you ever registered with a yahoo mail address.)

Nice try, but no cigar.

argh. any one know any good alternatives?

Yahoo was great because I could check it on the web (school, work, wherever), then connect to it via pop3 and archive it everyonce in a while.

I would be willing to pay if it still didnt have that @yahoo.com part. Who provides low-cost POP3 and web access with a professional sounding domain?

What kind of crap does yahoo think they're pulling here. Is anyone really willing to pay for something that
was once free? I haven't received that email yet, but I'm sure I will.
