America gave it up to wait for trickle down instead. Sorry, not sorry. While the America of my childhood was far from perfect, it was certainly better than what we’ve become.

Yea, I have no idea how capitalism is to blame for that one. Unless we want to get to the point that government regulates what we eat ( I know it is very important to many here to throw away freedom to "save lives" so maybe some do) we as consumers decide what wins and loses in the market place.
Yea, I mean, capitalism really is just greed with a different name.
No, you mistake things. Capitalism allows greed and ambition to work for you, though. But it itself is not greed. If making money is what drives you, then you can succeed in a capitalist society. If one doesn't want to work hard and complains that it is too hard to make it because it requires effort and not making excuses, then socialism might be better for you. Liberals love socialism.
Do you want government to regulate our diet and what food we buy? Y/N?
Start with Trump.
For nearly two decades, the Trump Organization has relied on a roving crew of Latin American employees to build fountains and waterfalls, sidewalks and rock walls at the company’s winery and its golf courses from New York to Florida.
Other employees at Trump clubs were so impressed by the laborers — who did strenuous work with heavy stone — that they nicknamed them “Los Picapiedras,” Spanish for “the Flintstones.”
For years, their ranks have included workers who entered the United States illegally, according to two former members of the crew. Another employee, still with the company, said that remains true today.
President Trump “doesn’t want undocumented people in the country,” said one worker, Jorge Castro, a 55-year-old immigrant from Ecuador without legal status who left the company in April after nine years. “But at his properties, he still has them.”
Another immigrant who worked for the Trump construction crew, Edmundo Morocho, said he was told by a Trump supervisor to buy fake identity documents on a New York street corner. He said he once hid in the woods of a Trump golf course to avoid being seen by visiting labor union officials.
But nothing changed on the Trump construction crew, according to current and former employees.
A spokeswoman for the Trump Organization said Mobile Payroll Construction is enrolled in E-Verify for any new hires. The company is still not listed in the public E-Verify database, which was last updated July 1.
The company did not directly respond to requests for comment about the legal status of the Mobile Construction workers, but said in a statement that “since this issue was first brought to our attention, we have taken diligent steps, including the use of E-Verify at all of our properties and companies.”
Greed is not an outcome of capitalism it is already part of it. Capitalism allows you to roll into Florida after Hurricane Andrew charge $25/lb for ice and get it. Our sense of social justice doesn't allow that. Its called compassion. There is no compassion chapter in the capitalism manual. No, you mistake things. Capitalism allows greed and ambition to work for you, though. But it itself is not greed. If making money is what drives you, then you can succeed in a capitalist society. Capitalism is a system. Like any system, it operated best for everyone when it is in balance. Exploiting cheap labor to mass produce over processed Dinosaur shaped Chicken nuggets to the benefit of shareholders and the C-suite is not balance, its insanity.Yea, I mean, capitalism really is just greed with a different name.

Just listen to this Russian racist!
So who was p9icking the lettuce in the fields and the strawberries and other produce back then? Not white americans….juas saying...While the America of my childhood was far from perfect, it was certainly better than what we’ve become.
It’s varied over time. Started as indentured servitude, shifted to slavery, shifted back to indentured servitude and finally became an ever-changing pattern of exploitable immigration waves: Irish, Chinese, southern Europeans, Mexicans and now Central Americans. So who was p9icking the lettuce in the fields and the strawberries and other produce back then? We've already seen from what happened with Sheriff Arpaio that the MAGA's don't care about legal American citizens who get arrested and even deported in their war on illegal immigration.Let's not forget the American citizen that was tased, handcuffed and dragged to the detention center with the rest of the 600+ arrested, simply because he was brown. He tried to explain he was a citizen, but you know ICE, no proof is ever enough as they deport citizens simply because ICE cannot believe anything a POC tells them.....they're all liars, don't you know.

Its not Capitalism. Same thing happens under any and all economic ideologies (happens under Communism), which is why you need strong government to keep it in check, but also need checks on the government (like Democracy) to keep it from acting similarly or being corrupted by the inherent greed of human beings.

Make political corruption a death penalty offense...and use it.

We'd have to execute GOP politicians entirely. Big money donors run the Party the way Pro baseball ran farm teams in its heyday.
