It actually started out with a 5min short I've never seen before. Apparently a squirel started the ice-age. Who knew?

You mean the "Gone Nutty" short? That's on the DVD. :)

That Shrek he has is just off the HBO, converted to WMV.

If you get cable with a HD box and Firewire output you can record to DVHS all you like.

Either some kind of hard drive or an HDCAM tape.

Maybe, but it's still 1080p.
I had it on my 2048x1536 CRT, and the quality looked PICTURE PERFECT. No grain or video artifacts at all.
The 720p videos still have grain.

It's not 1080p. It's 1080i at best, upconverted to 1080p. It will be a long time before someone broadcasts 1080p, if ever. Marc Cuban said he wants to do it.

The few Imax stuff released in WMV-HD 1080p looks pretty interesting. Blu-Ray should have 1080p support as well.

Yes it probably wasn't broadcasted. Most WMVHD comes in 720p or 1080p flavors.
Never in 1080i.

Shrek was never released in WMV-HD format. It's a capture converted to 1080p or whatever resolution was used. Same with all the other HD movies you download.

Ahh, now I want a HD tuner, sigh...

Bought my HDTV, and never got around to getting HD satellite or cable yet.
