IC7-MAX3: Can't install i875 chipset drivers

I installed Win XP, then the chipset inf file, then I tried the intel application accelerator raid edition, but it could not detect it. WTF???

(I'm sure you did this... but) is SATA enabled in the bios? You can only install IAA if you have the SATA enabled...

I had this problem with my IC7-G 2 version. I noted that if I did not have the BIOS set to RAID in the intel chipset Raid, that the OS would detect that it was a non-Raid chip and the IAA-R would not install. Once I set the Bios to raid the chip set was correctly indetified by Windows XP and the IAA-R installed. For a while thought I had a bad board.

works great. thank you all so much. it is the worst thing to feel when my new computer does not work.
