I've been trying to get a solution to this PITA problem.

Basicall I have the follwing system

IC7
Kingston Hyper X pc3500 (2x512)
AIW 9700 Pro
one IDE maxtor 40 Gig
Intel 10/100 NIC

I tried to bump up my FSB to 217 while keeping the cpu:Ddr 1:1 and keeping the PCI/AGP fixed at 66/33

wehn I tried to boot into XP it basicall hangs at the Verifying DMI poo data part of the boot prcess.

If I go back to my regular settings everything works fine. Any ideas? am I doing something wrong?

Make sure in the bios that the GA option is set to auto
Lower your mem timmings blelive it or not HyperX 3500 doesnt do to well at 1:1 with tight timmings
I bought some HX 3500 to replace my HX 3000 and found it worked worse than the HX 3000 so I sent it back.

good info on HX 3500 vs 3000 Here
And good info on setting up yuor IC7.

I had a long debate about whether to go with KHX 3000 or 3500. I picked teh 3000 initially based on Thugs's testing. but I sent it back and decide to get eh 3500 becuase it was cheaper. I think I should have tested it first.
BTW the auto setting worked. I guess the 3500 can't run tight timing even at underrated speeds...that sucks!!
