OK here is the thing...I originally got the board with bios v17 installed...In an attempt to test a theory on memory timngs of older bios I switched back to bios v14 and was able to run GAT settings at a higher ram speed....

Soon there after I got a Raptor....I set it as enanced mode with channel 3 master and my original OS HDD (WD 40gb) became my backup drive but was master on the primary IDE and Liteon 16x dvdrom was on the slave. On the secondary channel I have my Pioneer DVD-RW...

This all work perfectly in Bios version 14....

NOw that I have a 2.4c coming that does 3.5ghz I wanted to switched back to version 17 since it was a known bios that cured some boards issues with greater then 250fsb overclocks.

The problem is when I flashto bios 17 or 18 I can not get enhanced mode to work correctly and it trys to boot off of my d: drive (WD as primary master). This happens no matter what boot sequence I pick. It also doens't matter if I pick combined mode and isolate 2 drives on one channel instead of using both primary and secondary.

I had a reminence of my old OS on the WD drive and I erased the directories...Could this be an issue/?? Is there something it sees I don't and it thinks it is the HDD to load the OS from???

Bottom line no matter the SATA mode I cannot get both the raptor and the WD ide device to show up at the same time, period....

Any ideas....
