Even though the market is packed with cases with similar features and performance, this is the only case on the market featuring a transparent LCD display. The wow factor is through the roof.

I have to admit, this is completely overkill.......and kind of really cool as well.

Apparently iBuy sold it as part of a complete PC before, but just recently decided to offer the case for sale individually.

someone did a mod like this maybe 10 years ago where they took a lcd panel out of a busted laptop and mounted it on the acrylic side panel and rigged a display controller. with standard led lighting strips inside the case as backlighting at a bright enough setting it worked ok.

this is a pretty natural progression, i'm surprised it didnt come sooner. it's a bit limiting given that it is only the right side panel, which dictates how you have to layout your desk if you want to see it.

the logical extrapolation for some apple style-over-function overpriced status symbol would be to make a single piece wraparound oled panel that covers the side-front-side of the case and turn it into an art piece that sits on the desk with screensaver abstract animations flowing across all the sides. if people are willing to pay 6+6+1k for the mac pro/display/monitor stand, then the markup for a wraparound oled should be easily absorbed.

Linus Techtips did a build this week in a case that had a wicked rgb display on the front that made it appear 3D like.

guys this is not a std lcd panel.

its see through... so its like those futuristic displays we see in sci fi movies where if its off, its like a sheet of transparent glass, and when on, it displays a image.

i honestly think its cool, but i think there was a reason why vendors decided to scrap the idea of a see though lcd display, but on a side panel, for pure bling, i think its a +1 cool factor surpassing RGB leds.
