hmm, $100 off is alot, iBook's are expensive tho, and personally, i dont like macs, but for those mac enthusiasts, go for it! :)

That $100 people save should definitely be used to up (max out?) the RAM. 256MB makes the iBook run too slow, for me at least.

If this deal goes dead there is also a $30 off a $299 purchase + Free Shipping code on the better coupon sites. That code works on apple.com not on amazon

Thanks. Going to check my local microcenter. I was offered $799 from apple with student discount, but I could save on shipping.

Another plus at Microcenter is to sign up for the Microcenter Visa at time of purchase and get $100 rebate. That comes out to $699 for the ibook, talk about hot.

That is exactly what I just did today. You get the $100 rebate for getting the Visa, plus you get a $50 rebate for a Canon printer I250, and since that's exactly what the printer costs, you get it for free. Talk about a sweet deal! Posting with it now and could not be happier.
