how do you figure 1 teraflop as being 100 times faster than 2.5 ghz?

This is most likely in a VERY specialized case, if the processor were completely saturated with data perfectly aligned, etc, etc. Sound just like the new PowerPC's being rated at 18GFlops.

I actually think the 100x Pentium 4 figure is inaccurate, since the FPU of the P4 has been sacrificed for SSE optimization, and SSE does not have full precision.
