I bought my x22 used from a guy off of craigslist for 400. It is like 1.3in thick and weighs 3pounds. When i use the trackpoint after a while it starts to move without me moving it. Idk if its the trackpoint or the rubber because i wait a few moments and the pointer stoppes moving
on the screen its very annoying.

That's a common issue with all ThinkPads. The Trackpoint recalibrates itself periodically (I've seen different reasons for why), so if your finger is on the Trackpoint when it does this, it will calibrate itself off centre. Then, when you take your finger off, it moves back to its actual centre, so you see that movement reflected in the cursor.

This is all intentional; don't worry about it.

I doubt a new cap will help much, if at all. My brand new T42 did it too.

Unfortunately, there's no way for you to get rid of the cursor drift besides totally changing your mousing habits - only put your finger on the Trackpoint when you need to move the cursor somewhere. It's a pain, I know.
