IBM USB Memory Key, Can I make it Bootable???

Um....no. I don't think its possible to boot off a USB device. I could be wrong though.

EDIT: Ok, I was wrong 🙂 I still don't think its possible to boot off the keychain USB thing though...You'd have to have a bios that suport for that kind of thing...

I would be interested in know if anyone has done this though. I might want to pick up one of those USB keychain memory things to use as a universal boot disk 🙂

That would indeed be pretty cool. If it shows up as a hard drive on the machine (does it?), have you tried just doing a "sys g:" (or whatever letter). Maybe it would boot as a USB hard drive, then? Though I haven't seen many BIOSes that support that boot option.

The new M-systems DiskOnKey USB drives are bootable. You can tell because the insides is coloured (not grey). I'm guessing you'd need a recent BIOS that supports USB booting too.
