IBM: World's first 2nm GAA Fabrication techn...
Samsung: How much?

No details on the 2nm test chip have been provided, although at this stage it is likely to be a simplified SRAM test vehicle with a little logic.
If it is SRAM it is actually very good

It looks like Intel is also partnering. I wonder why, don't they have their own massive R&D efforts?

I believe my first P-5 pentium in 1993 was 600 nm and now IBM is at 2 nm like wow that was a fast 30 years to me.
So both Samsung and Intel partner with IBM on chip research in Albany.

Even if it's just early test silicon and the process still has some kinks to work out, it's still really impressive.
