IBM ultrabay 2000 cover? (when not using cdrom)

Sometimes there is no point for me to bring a cdrom along...
Wondering if ibm really does offer that ultrabay 2000 bezel , I can't find it anywhere.
Does this exist? if so, where can I get one? Its for an IBM R40 laptop.

Yes.... There is actually a FRU part # for it and I used to have it.... but no more.

You can try IBM or try itxchange.com They specialize in stocking old service parts and options for IBM everything. An Ultra Bay 2000 blank is old.... 🙂
 
Ouch, the price for a piece of "nothing" is quite steep!
